School almost out

Well, for those who check this periodically, it has been awhile. I thought I would throw up something real fast for those who do. It is now May and we have only a few weeks to go. We have slowly gotten over the truck break in and the truck itself sits more now than it is driven. Mainly because Diesel is now over 4 dollars a gallon!! To add injury to insult (or however that goes) we had some storms roll through last week. I had just planted some cucumbers about 2 hours before the storm hit. Needless to say they are gone! Especially with the hail we had. That is right, HAIL! Our Jeep got the brunt of this attack. We now have dings all over the hood and top off the vehicle! Not cool. No telling how much that will cost. We also got what my brother like to call, our "reperations" check. The big tax rebate check. I think we are going to spend some and put our daughters bit into savings. As for the rest we haven't decided. Maybe, a new fridge, get car fixed, pay off some loans, save it. The list goes on and on. Hey here is some cool news. Earth Day was a couple of weeks ago, and I called around to some local nurseries. I was able to get 6 Crape Myrtles donated to our school and my science class with the help of an Ag class is going to plant them this week in honor of Earth Day. I thought that was really cool of the Nurseries. Anyway, check back sometime it is almost 2 in the morning and I have got work tomorrow. See ya'll around......

Spring Break 08

Well it is my Spring Break and it has not been good to say the least. For starters, the Saturday it started I was supposed to get up and help my big bro build a playground set for his kiddos. Well, we were supposed to do this the week before, but my truck was broken into and we had an estimated $3000 worth of stuff stolen. We had the truck full for a weekend at my bros house. Obviously, who carries that much stuff around with them on a normal basis. Let's just say the hit the motherload! Anyway, so I wake up and I feel like crap. We get some work done but I was on fumes. Then Monday comes around my bro has to go back to work and we go to the outlet mall, which I still feel bad. Sat most of the day sleeping in the car. Fast forward to today was Thursday. Today was the first day I felt well enough to say I enjoyed my day. Good, tomorrow my bro and his fam is coming down to help me do some chores I need to get done and enjoy Easter. I hope all is well for everyone else out there. I don't know what had me down but it lingered for 5 days. I just always felt like I had no energy, always nauseated, and even had these hot flashes come over me. Weird. Wish I knew. I think it was stress. Don't know, just as long as I am better!!! Hope everyone got their brackets made out for March Madness. I did one on this website my dad won a 60" HDTV on last year. Forgot to do my yahoo, and facebook one! Oh well, life goes on. Take care. I am going to try and post a video of a song I have always thought was good. More of a life lesson than a song. Enjoy.....

I love this song!!

Inspiration!

I got a comment!! On my last post. None other than from "The Dawg" himself's wife! For those of you who care. I was asked to comment about the job. Well, here it goes.....
My job ever since I have been moved around, verbally bashed and ridiculed, has gotten much better. I had to think back and say, "what does it matter what someone who never sees what I do on a daily basis thinks any way?" I have become a better person because of this. I now currently am enjoying my new duties and I am enjoying all of the company of my cohorts. They are all fun and easy to work with.
Enough of that....
The baby is still not crawling. She is now over 7 months. We really think it is because for the longest time she hated her stomach. And would automatically roll over if she was put on her stomach. But, we are making great strides in other areas. She is picking up small objects, which sometimes scares me. She is clapping and also picking up things with one and two hands. Her doctor also stated, "she is more observant than most babies he has ever seen." We have decided this is going to be good and bad. Good in that she is a quick learner when it comes to copying. Bad in that she is a quick learner when it comes to copying. I really am going to have to watch myself as my wife as well.
Well, we have the in-laws coming tomorrow, my in-laws that is. You know what that means? I get to sleep in and MeMaw can get up with the little one!!! YEAH!! That also means time to get spoiled. Now it is not so bad because the spoiling now consists of buying clothes and formula. Which you can never have too much of.
I am going to leave you all with a poem I saw today I thought it was quite humorous. I will also leave you with a AWESOME video my bro showed me on youtube.

And Last the Poem.......

Eye have a spelling checker
It came with my Pea Sea
It plane lee marks four my revue
Miss steaks aye can knot sea.
Eye ran this poem threw it,

Did you think I forgot?

I know it has been a long time since I posted. But, sometimes good things are worth waiting for right? Well, any who, the little one is now 7 months old. She is sitting up, clapping her hands, picking up anything within reach, she says da da, and of course makes those wonderful farting noises with her mouth. She also, loves to pet the dog, it seems to always make her giddy. So, is she crawling? NO! She just does not want to. Here's the deal, if we put her on her stomach she just turns right over on her back. She doesn't like her stomach(laying on it). We really think that is the cause for this lack of crawling. But, the doctor made the comment that she is one of the most observant and alert babies he has ever seen. I mean she watches everything. She will follow you as you walk through a room, she watches you hands as you do things, like pick up a glass, eat, change the tv stations, just normal everyday stuff she is so interested. I really think she is going to have good hand-eye coordination. That will help when she is playing some D-I sport in college. HA HA.
The weather here won't make up its mind. The other day it was in the teens, now you could probably wear shorts if it weren't for the 20 MPH wind that has blown in any and every allergy you could think of. Our baby just got over pink eye, and we think she is working on probably her 4th-5th ear infection since she was born. I think she is going to be a prime candidate for those tubes they put in ears for things like that. Our neice had those and seems to be fine. I just don't like the idea of her having to have surgery at such a young age.
What is with ear infections now a days. I don't remember that ever being an issue when I was little. It has to be all of this artificial crap they put in products now. Maybe it is all of that lead in what seems to be in every toy made, since they all come from China any way. If they keep doing things like that, open up shop here, and just bleed them dry. If we would do some stuff ourselves in America then that would hurt other economies and force them to raise their standards. But, what do I know. I don't where a suit and come from a wealthy family that has everything handed to me, and take money from dirty lobbyists. (sorry that was my "Rant" for the day.)
Sad day, a democrat(not saying I am republican, just not a fan of the 2 dems that are left) will more than likely win the presidential race, and the only two are mud throwing brats. It is going to be a scary next 4 years. A woman or a civil rights lawyer (that will be great, while we have thousands pooring over from Mexico.) God help us all, not just the United States but, everyone, since every other country seems to depend on us. The wonderful United States, the country that others despise, especially if we ever treated anyone the way that their country treats each other.(ex: Guantanamo, getting info from prisoners). No, lets give them cable tv and cigarettes and work out equipment and a balanced meal, and air conditioning, while our troops that didn't do anything wrong sleep in tents in the desert. But if we stuck prisoners out in the desert in a tent that would be inhumane to stick a convicted felon out in the hot sun. (Sorry again I am "ranting".)
Well, have a great day and enjoy the game tonight.

HU Football on ESPN Top 10

This is something I just discovered. The first part of the video is another school. But the second is my alma mater. Not very often a DII school makes the Top 10 highlights for ESPN.

Another week down...2

Man, has it been a long week. And it was only a 4 day week with kids. I have been doing nothing but stressing. I do not like this new class I was given. The kids are great I just have a hard time with dealing with some of the things that go along with the class. I just really wish I could have my original schedule back. Then, I actually came home and enjoyed my time at home. Now, all I do is think about the situation I have been put in and it is not fair to my students or my family. Life goes on right? Well, life only comes around once, I just wish we could all just enjoy everday of it. On a lighter note, it is the weekend and maybe I will get to do some dove hunting, or hit some golf balls. I think that would help the build up of stress, and frustrations. To all, have a wonderful weekend and stay safe!!
HERE IS MY FAVORITE THEME SONG OF ALL!!! Also, one of my favorite old shows I remember.
